NEW FOR CLINICIANS: COVID Procedure Team: 24/7 In-house Coverage Starting April 1

A new COVID procedure team for COVID+ and rule-out patients has been established, made up of an attending general surgeon / senior surgery resident with assistance of cardiac surgery PAs, IR faculty/residents, vascular surgery, and thoracic surgery. Page 5303 to request this service or search “COVID” in the directory, and there is a link to “COVID, Procedure Team” for pages.

Procedures include: central venous catheters (IJ, femoral, subclavian); hemodialysis access; arterial lines; chest tubes. The team does NOT place PICCs, midline catheters, or US-guided peripheral IVs (at NIGHT only the team can potentially help with IVs, but during the day please call PICC team).

NEW: Menino and Moakley Surge Plan Update

In order to make room for additional patients, a portion of the Menino PACU has now been activated to accommodate non-Covid ICU patients. In addition, Moakley 2 has been activated to serve Med Surg patients.

NEW: Social Distancing and Food Safety in Our Cafeterias

For everyone’s safety, employees must practice social and physical distancing in our cafeterias. Please do not move the chairs or tables – they have intentionally been set up to accommodate one person per table. Additionally, please use hand sanitizer and wear a mask when entering the cafeteria and avoid handling products that you do not intend to purchase. Thank you.
