Boston Medical Center’s comprehensive lung cancer program has earned an international reputation with physicians who are distinguished as national leaders, researchers and experts in care of patients at all stages of the lung disease. Expert care. BMC’s tumor board of experts collaborates in developing and managing treatment plans of most complex cases. BMC physicians are pioneering advances through ongoing research making them a leader in most aggressive approaches to later-stage cancers and understanding the role of genetics in determining risk and therapies.

Patient-focused approach. New patients are seen within one week, with thorough workups and evaluations completed within 10 days, and treatment plans emerging from the multidisciplinary collaboration of BMC specialists. 

Innovative technology and treatment options. Treatment plans may include state-of-the-art treatment options including port-access robotic lobectomy as well as other minimally invasive surgical and nonsurgical techniques, such as radiofrequency ablation and radiation therapy modalities, including CyberKnife and brachytherapy, as well as access to a range of clinical trials for all stages of lung cancer.

Multidisciplinary collaboration. Each patient gets the dedicated, individualized attention of a team of experts who collaborate to evaluate unique circumstances and develop an individualized treatment plan that draws from a spectrum of therapies, technologies and techniques.
