 
#  Your Hospital Packing List for Your Big Day

Have you packed your hospital bag? The hospital will give you many basics, like a hospital gown, mesh underwear and pads, and small care items for you, as well as diapers, blankets, clothing, and hats for your baby. Otherwise, pack like you’re going on a weekend trip.

Use this checklist to see what else to bring.

## What to Pack for You

- ID and insurance card
- Lip balm and hair ties
- Phone, charging cable, and headphones or ear buds
- Water bottle
- Regular medications and asthma inhalers, if you use them
- Toiletries (toothbrush, soap, deodorant)
- A robe (*patient recommended!*)
- Items that help you relax (music, pillow, etc.)
- Favorite snacks and drinks
- Several pairs of underwear
- A nursing or regular bra
- Comfortable clothes, pajamas, and slippers
- Loose, comfortable clothes to wear home
- A breastfeeding pillow (optional)

## What to Pack for Your Baby

- Going-home outfit
- Blanket
- Hat
- Six to eight syringes of expressed breastmilk (optional)

## What Your Support People Should Pack

- Picture ID (needed to complete birth certificate)
- Phone and charger
- Change of clothes
- Snacks and drinks
