Pablo A. Buitron de la Vega, MD, is a board-certified primary care physician at Boston Medical Center (BMC), where he primarily provides care to Hispanic patients, an underserved population in healthcare. Dr. Buitron de la Vega is also the program director of Preventative Medicine Residency and an assistant professor of medicine at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine.
... His interests include health care education and the impact of patients’ attitudes, health beliefs, and social determinants of health (SDOH). He is passionate about the using emerging educational technologies to teach about health equity and SDOH. He is also the clinical lead of BMC THRIVE, a program that systematically screen patients for SDOH and refers them to resources.
