Ryan Center For Sports Medicine

Ryan Center for Sports Medicine at BMC and Boston University offers a range of comprehensive services at one convenient location. The multi-disciplinary team of physicians and professional staff provide patients with advanced diagnostics and treatment for sports injuries. The scope of services include physician services, physical therapy, nutrition, and athletic training.

At the Ryan Center, the same doctors who treat sports teams around Boston guide patients through the diagnosis and treatment process of their medical issues – acute, chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) issues and medical issues related to sports participation. They offer on-site x-rays and MSK ultrasounds to diagnosis a patient’s condition. Once diagnosed, physicians can design a treatment plan that is patient specific in order to obtain the best results possible.

After diagnosis, the Ryan Sports Center offers rehabilitation services to those who need it. Expert Physical Therapists are there to provide personalized treatment programs that maximize strength, endurance, and mobility. Inside the Center is a SwimEx pool, where aquatic therapy is offered to patients experiencing pain – helping to strengthen and condition the muscles.

At the same location, BU’s Sargent Choice Nutrition Center provides health and wellness education for individuals, groups, and institutions. Through healthy food and activity recommendations, licensed dieticians teach patients how to achieve their health goals. Nutrition counseling is also offered to patients suffering from health concerns – i.e. high blood pressure, diabetes, eating disorders.

The Ryan Center is a unique facility in Boston offering a range of services at one location. The physicians and professional staff help individuals manage and treat their medical issues. They work with patients every step of the way on the road to recovery and beyond.
