Hugs for Hope Club

The Positive Hope (HIV-OB Program and Education) Clinic provides care and advice to help keep HIV infected women healthy during pregnancy. Recently, the Clinic has started a new club, Hugs for Hope, where girls are getting together on Friday nights to make fleece blankets for the moms and babies cared for in the clinic.

“We want to encourage teenage girls across the country to create clubs and make blankets for babies born to HIV positive mothers to bring to the closest hospital/institution in their area that cares for these women,” says Meg Sullivan, MD, Director of HIV Clinical Programs and Founder of the Positive Hope Clinic.
