Care for Your Child’s GI Issues
Gastrointestinal problems such as belly pain, diarrhea, and vomiting can be uncomfortable and unpleasant, especially for children. At Boston Medical Center, our team of gastroenterologists, dieticians, clinicians and nurses are dedicated to providing patient centered and culturally sensitive care to children who may be suffering from gastrointestinal, nutrition, pancreatic, or liver problems.
Some of the most commonly treated problems include:
- Chronic diarrhea
- Colitis & Chron’s disease
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Lactose intolerance
- Weight loss or poor weight gain
For children with complex medical conditions, our team closely coordinates with other pediatric specialists at Boston Medical Center. This makes it possible for your child to see multiple providers during one appointment, if needed.
The Pediatric GI Clinic, overseen by Dr. Claudio Morera, is pleased to have providers on hand to speak with patients and their families in a variety of languages, including Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese. As always, BMC is also able to provide face-to-face interpreters during visits when needed.
