Educational Seminars

As part of our commitment to educating clinicians about the many aspects of addressing social determinants of health, following are some upcoming events that may be of interest.

BMC Health Equity Symposium

The Inaugural Health Equity Symposium at Boston University Medical Campus is April 10th, 2018 in Hiebert Lounge. This symposium seeks to engage students, healthcare professionals and community members from all disciplines to collaborate on issues of health equity.

Part of this day involves a research poster session, and we hope you encourage your trainees and faculty to submit abstracts. These will be judged by our visiting professor, Sir Michael Marmot, renowned researcher, Chair of the WHO Commission on Social Determinants of Health, Director of the International Institute for Society and Health, and author of the Whitehall Studies. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in health equity work to discuss their work with a giant in the field.

Abstract submission and information on the Symposium can be found at healthequity2018.org.
