Samantha Truong, MD, is an academic generalist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an assistant professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Truong provides care at the BMC Refugee Women’s Health Clinic and at NeighborHealth, a Federally Qualified Health Center in East Boston. She is an Approved Bilingual Provider/Qualified Bilingual ...  Staff for Spanish.

Dr. Truong’s research and clinical work in global health equity centers on respectful maternity care, refugee and (im)migrant health, and reproductive justice/family planning access. Through the Doris Duke International Clinical Research Fellowship, she has been collaborating with Partners In Health since 2018 with a focus in Chiapas, México, where she has developed research and capacity-building initiatives with the Sexual and Reproductive Health team. As a member of Physicians for Human Rights, she performs asylum evaluations for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
