## About

Rachel Rome completed her medical school and internal medicine residency at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital. She then completed her fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at MGH/DFCI. She spent a year and a half in hematology/oncology training ...  before realizing her career passion is in palliative medicine. She is the team's inpatient lead and works to ensure palliative care management in the hospital is up to the gold standards our patients deserve. She is also passionate about medical education and serves as the medical student clerkship director. She loves working in palliative care because it allows her to focus on making people feel better, whether by helping with symptoms or by having conversations that allow people to have a better end of life experience.
