Dr. Somayaji earned his medical degree from the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Science (KIMS) ...  in Bengaluru, India, and completed his radiology residency training at R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital in Kolkata. He subsequently completed fellowships in musculoskeletal radiology and in body imaging at Boston Medical Center.
