Lucas is a first-generation American and college graduate, completing his Bachelor of Arts in biology at the University of Utah and his Master of Genetic ...  Counselor Studies at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. During his graduate studies, he served on their program's advisory committee and gender affirming clinical care committee. Their clinical interests include hereditary cancer predisposition syndromes, hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis, and pharmacogenomics.
