Kavita Sharma, MD, is a board-certified internist and weight management specialist at Boston Medical Center (BMC), where she currently serves as Director of the Nutrition Support Service. She is also Assistant Professor of Medicine (Endocrinology, Diabetes, Nutrition &amp; Weight Management) at Boston University Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Sharma graduated from medical school in India and completed a residency ...  in Internal Medicine at Cambridge Health Alliance in Boston, Massachusetts. While practicing as an internist she found her passion for obesity and specialized nutrition therapy. This led to completion of a fellowship program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, Boston.

Dr. Sharma is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Nutrition Support. Her research interests include Obesity Medicine, Hospital Malnutrition, and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) therapy. She enjoys working in an academic multidisciplinary setting and taking care of a diverse patient population.
