Kailey Vitale, MA, CCC-SLP received her Master of Arts from the University of Kansas and completed her Clinical Fellowship at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. She is a clinical Speech-Language Pathologist at BMC and Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery within the BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. While she treats patients with a variety of speech, language, cognitive, and voice disorders in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, her specialties include swallowing disorders (particularly after head and neck cancer) and management of tracheoesophageal voice prostheses (TEP). Kailey collaborates with the medical team to provide exceptional patient-centered care, coupling compassion and integrity with the latest innovative and evidence-based practice. Her research interests include adherence to swallowing treatments, evaluation of swallowing problems, and alaryngeal voice restoration after total laryngectomy.
