Joseph Tobias, MD, is a board-certified endocrine surgeon at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Boston University Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Tobias received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians &amp; Surgeons in New York City. He completed his residency in general surgery at Oregon Health &amp; Science University in ...  Portland, followed by fellowships in both endocrine surgery and clinical medical ethics at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Tobias cares for patients with surgical conditions of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands, as well as neuroendocrine tumors of the small bowel and pancreas.

His research focuses on clinical outcomes in endocrine surgery, medical ethics, and the humanities.
