## About Dr. Batal is a Clinical Associate Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Director of the Oral Surgery Group Practice at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He graduated with a dental degree from Damascus University, Syria, and then completed his DMD training through the Advanced Standing program at GSDM. He is a 2003 graduate of ... the Boston University OMS training program. Dr. Batal joined the full-time faculty in 2003 when he was appointed Clinical Director of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery outpatient clinic at BMC. He has also held the position of Director of the one-year preliminary Internship program from 2004–2011 and currently is the Director of the oms Faculty Practice. Dr. Batal’s interests include hard and soft-tissue implant surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
