Geoffrey R. Oxnard, MD, is a board-certified thoracic medical oncologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC), internationally recognized for both his clinical expertise in lung cancer and for his pioneering work on the use of liquid biopsies to guide the selection of targeted therapies.

Dr. Oxnard sees patients one day a week at BMC, while also fulfilling his roles as a researcher, ...  Associate Professor of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Boston University Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine, and Vice President and Global Medical Lead for liquid biopsies at Foundation Medicine.

After receiving his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Dr. Oxnard completed his internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, followed by a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Dr. Oxnard’s clinical and research interests focus on the use of diagnostics to enable precision lung cancer therapies, as well as understanding inherited lung cancer risk.
