Emelia Benjamin, MD, ScM
Emelia J. Benjamin, MD, ScM, FACC, FAHA, is a Professor of Medicine and Co-Principal Investigator at the Framingham Heart Study. She is author of over 130 peer-reviewed research publications that focus on the on the genetics, epidemiology, and prognosis of atrial fibrillation, stroke, valvular and vascular function and systemic inflammation. She is Principal Investigator on 2 NHLBI RO1 grants investigating the association of inflammation to aging and cardiovascular disease. She has chaired an AHA National Conference addressing ethnic disparities.
