ServicesRehabilitation Unit – Nursing CareNursing - Transition to Optimal WellnessThe nursing staff of the Center for Rehabilitation is made up of registered nurses with specialized training and education in rehabilitation. Our nurses serve as teachers, caregivers, collaborators and client advocates. They work with the rehabilitation team to solve patient issues and manage patient medical problems. Our nurses are experts in bowel and bladder are, nutrition, pain management, maintenance of skin integrity, respiratory care and self care management. They focus on returning the patient to the community by providing patient and family education, setting goals for maximal independence and establishing plans of care to maintain an optimal level of wellness for each patient. Our unique Registered Nurse staff to patient ratio enables us to create a supportive environment for patients and families to focus on rehabilitation while still having access to comprehensive services offered in a major medical facility. |
