- Boston Rehabilitation Medicine Associates is the group physician practice that provides both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care at Boston Medical Center. The physicians are certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Many of our physicians hold subspecialties in spinal cord injury medicine, electrodiagnostic medicine, pain management, interventional pain procedures and acupuncture.
- Our Interventional Pain Management physician at Boston Medical Center is a fellowship trained physiatrist who employs state-of-the-art for treatment of acute and chronic pain utilizing minimally invasive techniques.
- The Center for Rehabilitation is a 12-bed, state-of-the-art specialized unit providing inpatient rehabilitation to individuals with diagnoses that require acute rehabilitation. Diagnoses treated include spinal cord injury, stroke, amputee, orthopedic injuries and multiple traumatic injuries. Our unique size enablesus to create a supportive environment for patients to focus on their rehabilitation while having access to comprehensive services offered in a major medical center.
- The New England Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center, is one of 14 federally funded National Model Systems Centers in the country, and the only Model Systems Center in New England. Located within the Center for Rehabilitation, the New England Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center consistently povides the latest in research-oriented treatment and the best in spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
- Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation NeuroRecovery Network at Boston Medical Center(NRN). is part of a cooperative network of cutting-edge rehabilitation centers designed to provide and develop therapies to promote functional recovery and improve the heath and quality of life of people living with paralysis. Selected by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation the NRN at BMC is one of only seven centers in the country and the only center in the New England area providing the Locomotor Training Activity-Based Therapy.
- Center for Rehabilitation has a close collaboration with Boston Medical Center’s stroke service which has been designated by the Department of Public Health as a Stroke Center of Excellence.
