This months lecture will discuss the theory and practical application of the benefit of exercise with spinal cord injury, topics will focus on:

The Theory of Exercise Based Recovery: What is the science behind Spinal Cord Injury and exercise?  Is there a benefit to exercising the paralyzed areas of the body?  We will answer these questions and discuss research in the field of Spinal Cord Injury and exercise.

Application of These Theories: How can we apply different exercises techniques to those with a spinal cord injury?  What modifications and safety concerns need to be taken into account?  We will talk about how these various exercises are applied and how it affects those with an SCI.

Exercises To Do At Home: Exercise should be an important component of everyone's life.  We will discuss how exercise can be done at home making it possible for those with all levels of injury to exercise with little to no equipment or assistance.

At the conclusion of the lecture, there will be time for questions and open discussion around the topics and information presented.
