Enrollment in clinical studies
BMC is a study site for various cooperative groups such as:
- NSABP (National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project)
- RTOG (Radiation Therapy Oncology Group )
- SWOG (Southwest Oncology Group)
Because clinical trials offer the most up-to-date treatment available, patients who
participate in a clinical trial may benefit from the newest research. Many patients
derive comfort from knowing that the knowledge gained will make an important contribution
to medical science and may help other people with cancer.
