Fat Transfer

Fat Transfer (Also known as fat grafting, micro-lipoinjection, or autologous fat transfer):  Fat Transfer is the process of removing fat from one or more areas of the body and injecting it to another area.  Depending on where you would like to have your fat injected the procedure can be done in the office or the operating room.  The benefits of fat transfer is that it lasts a long time, usually up to seven years, there is no risk for allergic reaction from your own fat cells, and it is very cost effective.  We expect about 30% of the fat injected to disappear when the inflammation resolves.

Fat transfer to the face is a safe, natural procedure that can provide definition to your cheeks, eliminate your nasolabial folds, fill in sunken tear troughs, and correct other facial deformities.   This technique rejuvenates your facial features using your own fat and is a popular alternative  to the midface lift or non-permanent facial injectables.  Fat transferred to the face can last seven years.  It is very cost effective in comparison to temporary facial injectables.  The procedure takes about one hour and is done in our clinic using local anesthesia.  You should expect to have some swelling and bruising on your face for up to 3 weeks.

Buttock Fat Transfer (Also known as Brazilian Butt lift) is a combination of liposuction of one or more body areas and then transfer of the fat to the buttocks.  It is performed under general anesthesia.  This procedure can be performed in conjunction with other procedures such as tummy tuck or breast surgery, but may also be performed on its own.
