Residency Program Resources

Application Information

The Application Deadline for all BMC residency programs is January 5th.

Eligibility
Candidates for BMC residency programs must be:
   1)  Graduates of an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy, AND
   2)  Eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on July 1st, AND
   3)  U.S. citizens or carry a U.S. permanent resident visa (a "green card")

National Matching Service
All applicants to ASHP-accredited pharmacy residencies must participate in the Match process sponsored by the National Matching Service (NMS).  Applicants to our programs* must register with NMS to obtain a match number. Information about applications and deadlines for the Match can be found at www.natmatch.com/ashprmp.

Application
Send applications to the specific Program Director at:

The following application materials may be submitted via regular mail or via email* and received by the above deadline.  

  • Application Form (PDF)*
  • Letter of Intent*
  • Curriculum Vitae*
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation with Recommendation Form (PDF)*
             –  At least one letter must be from a clinical rotation preceptor 
             –  Letters must include the above recommendation form
             –  Letters and accompanying form may be signed, scanned and submitted via
                 email directly to the program director, and they must be received by the 
                 January 5th deadline
  • Transcript (official transcripts are requested).
             –  Transcripts must be submitted by regular mail in a sealed envelope and 
                 received by the January 5th deadline
  • You will receive an email from the program when your application is complete.

* Items with an asterisk may be submitted by email to the respective program director.   
   PGY1 applicants, please use the email address:  PharmacyPGY1@bmc.org.

PLEASE NOTE: On Dec 9th, 2011, the email Address for PGY1 applications was corrected.  If you do not receive a confirmation of receipt of you application, please resend using the address above.
