Program Description
The Hematology/Oncology Specialty residency program is an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency program offering advanced training in both inpatient and outpatient cancer care and chemotherapy.
After orientation to the department, the resident begins a series of rotations and other activities designed to meet the goals and objectives of the Boston Medical Center (BMC) specialty residency in hematology/oncology program. Rotation options include inpatient medical oncology, ambulatory medical oncology, amyloid stem cell transplantation, bone marrow transplantation, hematology, investigational drugs, and anemia management. Throughout the course of the year, the resident meets objectives in practice management and drug policy development by participating in the DUE program, drug information service, and by completing various administrative and management projects.

Requirements for Acceptance
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy; certificate from PGY1 program (or equivalent); eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts; be a US citizen or carry a permanent resident visa (a "green card"); complete application: letter of intent (including goals), college transcript, curriculum vitae, 3 letters of recommendation; personal on-site interview.
