The Pediatric Inpatient Unit at Boston Medical Center provides the highest quality health care to families whose children or adolescents require in-hospital care. Our specially trained staff includes physicians, nurses, nutritionists, pharmacists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers and child life specialists who work together to ensure that all aspects of our patients' health needs are met. We are proud to serve a diverse population from many cultural backgrounds. In addition to the Pediatric Inpatient Unit, a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides the staff and technology required to care for children of all ages who need special assistance.
High-Quality Medical Care
While our facilities are state-of-the-art, it is our staff of caring dedicated professionals who make the difference. From our skilled and compassionate nurses to the full array of pediatric medical and surgical specialists, we are all committed to providing the best care to our patients.
Family Friendly Environment
The hospitalization of a child can be a stressful experience for families, so we make it a priority to provide support to families during their hospital stay. Parents or guardians are encouraged to visit any time, and one parent or guardian is welcome to stay overnight with his/her child. Other visitors are welcome between the hours of 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
