to Heart
Heart to Heart is a program sponsored by Good Grief
for Boston Medical Center families. It provides free consultations
to parents or guardians of grieving children, children who are seriously
ill, or children who know someone with a serious illness.
Through Heart to Heart consultations, adults receive
guidance on how to approach difficult and sensitive issues with
their children. Adults learn what questions to expect from their
children, how to identify children's fears and misconceptions, and
how to respond to their children in a way that comforts and reassures.
Families may request consultations and assistance
through their doctors or directly, from the Good Grief office at
