The National Center for Cultural Competence (NCCC) at Georgetown University Medical Center has published a new Policy Brief - Infusing Cultural and Linguistic Competence into the Multiple Systems Encountered by Families Following the Sudden, Unexpected Death of an Infant. The document is meant to provide information and guidance to the many systems involved with families after a sudden and unexpected infant death. Policy recommendations are made for first responders, hospital emergency departments, investigators and community improvement process teams and bereavement support providers. In addition, policy recommendations are presented that address the potential in collaboration among these many systems.
If you have any questions or wish to obtain additional copies of this document, please contact the Center at 800-788-2066 or cultural@georgetown.edu.
