Directions to The SPARK Center
The SPARK Center is a tan house with a reddish striped red roof located at 255 River Street in Mattapan, approximately 6 miles south of Downtown Boston with free off-street parking (#617.534.2050).
By Automobile
From Cambridge or Downtown Boston
- Take the Mass Pike to 93 South
- Exit 11B, Ashmont/Granite Avenue
- Stay in left lane, go through lights, and turn left onto Milton Street (at cemetery)
- Take next left onto Adams Street
- Proceed through 3 sets of lights, crossing Dorchester Ave. (Dunkin Donuts on right)
- Look for Lil' Peach store on left
- At that light, bear left onto River Street
- Approximately one-half mile on right you will see a large brick building set back on a horseshoe drive (SPARK is just after that, on same side)
- At traffic light, turn right into driveway (255 River Street)
- SPARK is the tan house with a striped red roof on your left
- Parking is available in the front or rear of the building
From 128 South
- Take 93 North
- Exit Route 138 towards Milton
- Go to the end and enter Rotary
- Stay right and turn right onto River Street
- Go straight through 2 stoplights
- Turn left at traffic light, onto driveway (255 River Street)
- SPARK is the tan house with a striped red roof on your left
- Parking is available in the front or rear of the building
Option 1 from Downtown
- Take Dorchester Ave. heading south to Washington Street (Lower Mills area)
- Turn right onto Washington Street
- Continue only one-tenth of a mile and turn left onto River Street
- Continue down River Street and bear right at the Shell Station (still on River Street)
- Approximately .6 mile on right you will see a large brick building set back on a horseshoe drive (SPARK is just after that, on same side)
- At traffic light, turn right into driveway (255 River Street)
- SPARK is the tan house with a striped red roof on your left
- Parking is available in the front or rear of the building
- or-
Option 2 from Downtown
- Take Blue Hill Ave. to Mattapan Square
- Continue through the square (stay left)
- Go through the light at the end of the square (at this point you cross River Street)
- Continue
only one-tenth of a mile and take a left at the rotary (heading back towards Mattapan Square)
- Stay right, travel less than one-tenth of a mile, and bear right on River Street
- Approximately one-half mile on left you will see a long stone wall
- At traffic light, turn left into driveway (255 River Street)

- Parking is available in the front or rear of the building
From Brookline and Jamaica Plain
- Take the Jamaica South to Route 203 East (Arborway)
- Follow Route 203 for 6.2 miles; turn right onto Washington Street
- After about one-half mile, turn right onto River Street
- Less than one-half mile on right you will see a large brick building set back on a horseshoe drive (SPARK is just after that, on same side)

Option 1 from the South
- Take the Southeast Expressway (Route 93 South)
- Exit 11, Ashmont/Granite Avenue
- Stay in left lane, go through lights, and turn left onto Milton Street (at cemetery)
- Take next left onto Adams Street

By Public Transportation
- Take the Red Line (Ashmont Line) to Ashmont Station (last stop)
- Take MBTA Bus Route #27, which runs between Ashmont and Mattapan Square
- While on River Street, it stops at the SPARK entrance (255 River Street…also note Boston Medical Center sign)
- SPARK is the tan house with a striped red roof on your right
