Our Philosophy of Care
The Pediatrics Specialty Group at Boston Medical Center takes pride in providing:

Comprehensive Care
The group offers widely recognized programs for the comprehensive care of several chronic illnesses, including asthma, sickle cell anemia (Hematology) and failure to thrive (Growth and Nutrition), and also provides multi-disciplinary services to assess children's development and school achievement.
In addition to its various specialty programs, the Pediatric Specialty Group also operates the STAR Unit (Specialty Treatment And Related-testing), a specialized outpatient facility that offers complex treatments and testing, including blood transfusions, infusions of various medications, and several diagnostic procedures under sedation.
