- PainFree Pediatrics: One initiative that illustrates our commitment to children is the Pain Free Pediatrics program. Over the coming months, the nursing and physician staff will all be trained to incorporate pain management techniques, such as distraction or topical anesthetics, into all, non-emergent venipunctures and intravenous line placements. We are excited about this initiative and hope that it will reduce the pain and anxiety that can accompany medical procedures.
