Mandeep Rana, MDMandeep Rana completed 9 years in Pediatrics and specialized training, initially in Obstetrics and Gynecology and subsequently in Pediatric Neurology. Mandeep worked as the only Obstetrician in Nevis West Indies before beginning her Pediatrics training. Dr. Rana then completed her Internship and Pediatrics Residency at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Jersey, which is affiliated with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Drexel University, and where she was described as “a true star and a treasure in our residency program.” Dr. Rana excelled in her three-year long Residency in Pediatric Neurology at Boston Medical Center, Boston University, under the auspices of Drs. Karl Kuban and N. Paul Rosman. She functioned as Chief Resident while in that program. Dr. Rana’s long-standing interest in sleep-related disorders led her to complete a fellowship in Sleep Disorders at Children’s Hospital Boston/Harvard University, under the direction of Dr. Sanjeev Kothare. Dr. Rana is involved in a number of clinical projects, including one that looks at the role of sleep disorders as a contribution to Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and Etiology of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Infants.
