The Massachusetts Center for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, extends a sincere thank you to Congressman Richard Neal, Mr. and Mrs. Barry Metayer, and the SIDS Race for Life Committee for their most generous contribution to our program. We also thank the race sponsors, runners and walkers, including the many families who participated in memory of their children.
Monies raised through this event will fund support programs for families who have suffered the tragic loss of their children and will also assist in research, bereavement training and educational programs for health and safety professionals and community groups.
We also thank the citizens of Springfield and surrounding cities and towns who supported this outstanding effort, which has increased the awareness of sudden infant death in our communities.
