Services OfferedThe SIDS Center offers a number of services to families and the community of professionals involved with infant and child mortality. Program Director The Massachusetts Center for SIDS is responsible for coordinating services to bereaved families throughout Massachusetts. Funded originally by the SIDS Act of 1974 and subsequently by grants, fundraising and contributions, the Center continues its primary mission of ascertaining the child’s cause of death, notifying parents of medical findings, and offering support to family members during their bereavement.
