    Medline Plus - U.S. National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health
    MedlinePlus has extensive information from the National Institutes of Health and other trusted sources on over 700 diseases and conditions. There are also a medical encyclopedia and a medical dictionary, health information in Spanish, extensive information on prescription and nonprescription drugs, health information from the media, and links to thousands of clinical trials.

    National Institute for Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Disorders
    Information on various musculoskeletal disorders, including arthritis, hip replacement, knee and shoulder problems, and scoliosis. NIAMS is a division of the National Institutes of Health.

    Orthogate/Orthopaedic Web Links
    Created by The Internet Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma, the site is intended to facilitate access to orthopaedic information using the Internet. The site contains information on joint replacement, back problems, trauma, foot and ankle disorders, and foot, knee, and shoulder problems as well as live webcasts of surgical procedures.

    The Arthritis Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organization that supports the more than 100 types of arthritis and related conditions with advocacy, programs, services and research. Their website contains educational materials on all topics relating to arthritis, including treatment, medications, and prevention.

    American Society for Surgery of the Hand
    Read what hand surgeons say about carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, hand transplants, and other hand problems and diseases on these pages of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) website.     American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine
    The American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine is a multidisciplinary scientific society devoted to the study of cerebral palsy and other childhood onset disabilities, to promoting professional education for the treatment and management of these conditions, and to improving the quality of life for people with these disabilities.

    American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
    The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons provides education and practice management services for orthopaedic surgeons and allied health professionals. The Academy also serves as an advocate for improved patient care and informs the public about the science of orthopaedics.

    American Medical Association
    As the national professional organization for all physicians, the American Medical Association (AMA) serves as the steward of medicine and leader of the medical profession. The AMA's envisioned future is to be an essential part of the professional life of every physician and an essential force for progress in improving the nation's health. Only the AMA has the national voice, the reputation and the stature to be a strong advocate for physicians and their patients.

    American Orthopaedic Society For Sports Medicine
    The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) is a national organization of orthopaedic surgeons specializing in sports medicine, including national and international sports medicine leaders. The AOSSM works closely with many other sports medicine specialists and clinicians, including family physicians, emergency physicians, pediatricians, athletic trainers and physical therapists, to improve the identification, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries.

    American Society for Surgery of the Hand
    The mission of the ASSH is to advance the science and practice of hand and upper extremity surgery through education, research and advocacy on behalf of patients and practitioners.

    Arthroscopy Association of North America
    The goal of the Association is to promote, encourage, support and foster through continuing medical education functions, the development and dissemination of knowledge in the discipline of arthroscopic surgery.

    Eastern Orthopaedic Association
    The purpose of EOA is to promote, encourage, foster, and advance the art of science and orthopaedic surgery, and to establish a forum for free discussion and teaching of orthopaedic methods and principles among the members.

    Massachusetts Orthopaedic Association
    The Massachusetts Orthopaedic Association (MOA) is a non-profit, volunteer organization, dedicated to improving orthopaedic care in Massachusetts. The MOA seeks to identify and resolve issues that affect delivery of orthopaedic care.

    North American Spine Society
    NASS is a multidisciplinary medical organization that advances quality spine care through education, research and advocacy.

    Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation
    The Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) is an independent organization that raises funds to support research and education on diseases and injuries of bones, joints, nerves, and muscles, OREF-funded research enhances clinical care, leading to improved health, increased activity, and a better quality of life for patients.

    Orthopaedic Research Society
    The Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) is an organization dedicated to advancement of orthopaedic research. The ORS carries out this mission through education in research, dissemination of research knowledge, advocacy for increasing of resources for research, and increasing awareness of the importance and impact of such research on orthopaedic patients and the public. Additionally, the ORS promotes and encourages the development and availability of clinician-scientists and basic-scientists to assure that there is continuing research efforts whose results will form a basis for providing the highest quality of musculoskeletal care.

    Orthopaedic Trauma Association
    The mission of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) is to promote excellence in care for the injured patient, through provision of scientific forums and support of musculoskeletal research and education of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the public.

    Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America
    The Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) has as its mission the development and implementation of the highest quality education of pediatric orthopaedists thereby assuring the best possible care of musculoskeletal pediatric patients. POSNA will endeavor to become the focal point and authoritative source on such care through appropriate alliances with other related organizations and through research that will lead to evidence based patient care.

    Scoliosis Research Society
    The Scoliosis Research Society is a professional organization, made up of physicians and allied health personnel. The primary focus is on providing continuing medical education for health care professionals and on funding/supporting research in spinal deformities.
