G. Richard Paul, M.D.
Associate Professor
G. Richard Paul, MD, is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Boston University
School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School
and completed his orthopaedic residency at Boston University Medical Center and Tufts
University Medical Center. Dr. Paul's clinical interests include joint reconstruction,
joint replacement arthroplasty, and sports medicine.
Dr. Paul is emeritus Chief of Sports Medicine at Northeastern University Department of
Athletics. He served as team surgeon for the Boston Breakers of the USFL. He has served
as the medical director for U.S. Pro Tennis tournament that had been held annually in
Boston. He also has served at Neutral Doctor for the International Tennis Foundation for
both the Davis Cup and Federation Cup.
Dr. Paul is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is an active
member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society
for Sports Medicine, and the Eastern Orthopaedic Association.
