ServicesMedical Nutrition TherapyOur registered, licensed dietitians provide individualized education and medical nutrition therapy for patients age 18 and over when referred by their primary care physician. Many patients referred to our clinic have other medical conditions that affect their nutrition such as diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, hypertensive disorders, lipid disorders, HIV, gastrointestinal dysfunction, healthy or complicated pregnancies, disordered eating, kidney and liver disease. While we see most of our patients in our main clinic in the Preston Family Building, you may also be seen in BMC's Geriatric Clinic, Hematology/Oncology Clinic, or the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Lipid Clinic. If you are a patient in one of these clinics and are referred for medical nutrition therapy (not weight management), please request to see the registered dietitian in that clinic. Weight management patients are seen in the Preston Family Building. Your initial appointment with the dietitian will involve an assessment of your immediate and long-term nutritional needs followed by development of an individualized plan. Your plan will take into account all of your medical issue and your personal lifestyle. Subsequent appointments to assess your progress, provide support and additional counseling or to modify your plan will be scheduled as needed. Access individualized medical nutrition therapy at BMC
