Mission Statement
The Department of Neurological Surgery at Boston Medical Center is a full service clinical and academic program that provides
contemporary treatment for patients with a broad spectrum of brain and spine diseases. Our neurosurgeons are senior
clinician-scientists who subspecialize in all major areas of neurosurgery, thereby providing sophisticated care and successful
treatment that can only be achieved through years of experience treating the same type of disease. Advanced image-guidance and
other systems help us accomplish the safe and successful treatment of some of the most complex brain tumors, aneurysms, movement
disorders such as Parkinson's Disease, and spine diseases. We have multidisciplinary programs in neurooncology, cerebrovascular
disease, and trauma that provide our patients with a broad understanding of all aspects of their disease and the entire spectrum
of treatment options.
Our Department has a long standing tradition of providing the finest neurosurgical care possible to all residents of this
