Boston University Medical StudentsThe Minority Physician Recruitment Program (MRP) works collaboratively with the BUSM Office of Diversity & Multicultural Affairs to make students aware of research, mentorship, and networking opportunities in order to enhance their development as future physicians.
The Medical Student Summer Research Program (MSSRP) offers up to 30 competitive $2,750 scholarships to first-year Boston University medical students to complete an 8-week research project with a BUMC faculty member during the summer.
The URM Mentorship Program is a structured program supported by the Minority Physician Recruitment Program (MRP) and the BUSM Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs. This mentorship program provides longitudinal mentorship for students in all four years as well as residents, fellows and faculty in a small group structure. In addition, the MRP hosts a number of networking and social events to help build connections between minority students, trainees, and faculty within the Boston University Medical Center community.
