...is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine and Clinical Director of the Renal Section at Boston Medical Center.
He is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School, completed his Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at Boston Medical Center, and joined the staff in 2003.
Dr. Bhatia’s clinical interests include Chronic kidney disease, continuous renal replacement therapies, renal transplantation, and glomerular diseases. Past research efforts have included assessing thyroid function in patients with renal amyloidosis and monitoring markers of dialysis efficacy using whole saliva.
In addition to seeing chronic kidney disease and renal transplant patients at Boston Medical Center, he also conducts a clinic at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center.
