We are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Dr. Gretchen Gignac as Assistant Professor of Medicine in the
Section of Hematology/Oncology at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Gignac received her medical degree from the University of
Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Following her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, she
completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York. Dr. Gignac’s clinical practice will
encompass the treatment of patients with genitourinary malignancies and other solid tumors.
She has presented at national meetings and has
published in peer-reviewed journals on cancer of the testis and prostate. Her research focus is on the clinical development of novel therapies
for patients with genitourinary malignancies. Dr. Gignac holds memberships in the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society
of Hematology. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and board-eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
