Endocrinology and Diabetes
The Endocrinology and Diabetes Service at Boston Medical Center offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment services for the entire spectrum of Endocrine and Nutritional Disorders. We provide a patient-oriented approach in a centralized, convenient location under one expert team.

Endocrinology

We provide diagnosis and treatment for Thyroid, Adrenal, Pituitary, Calcium, and Lipid problems or difficulties with Menopause. We also promote Bone Health and evaluate for Osteoporosis by using Bone Densitometry, one of the best detectors available today, and base our treatment plans on each patient's rate of bone loss and risk factors.

The Diabetes Service offers a complete range of evaluation and treatment options for patients with Diabetes who are newly diagnosed, poorly controlled, or in need of long-term care and follow-up. The American Diabetes Association awarded recognition to the Boston Medical Center Diabetes Self-Management Education Program.

The Nutrition Support Service, a multispecialty unit, is a collaborative effort between the Departments of Medicine and Surgery. The service is devoted to the nutritional assessment and metabolic support of stressed and malnourished hospitalized patients.
