Nutrition and Weight Management Center

Diana Cullum-Dugan, RD, LD
In her role as Nutrition Program Director for the Nutrition and Weight Management Center, Boston Medical Center (BMC), Diana Cullum-Dugan develops and oversees the day-to-day operations of the nutrition programs such as the self-pay Weight Loss Program and Cardiac Rehab nutrition program; provides medical nutrition therapy counseling to patients in areas of weight management, diabetes mellitus, lipid, gastrointestinal, and eating disorders, as well as specializing in vegetarianism and sports nutrition; coordinates research projects; assists in the development and validation of clinical research tools; and presents obesity management workshops to other healthcare professionals and the lay public alike. She appears on the speaker's circuit for many health care professional groups on topics such as Physical Activity for the Obese Patient, Fad Diets, Nutritional Assessment, Adult and Pediatric/Adolescent Obesity, Motivational Interviewing, Eating Disorders, Vegetarianism, and Weight Management.

Prior to her role at BMC, Ms. Cullum-Dugan served as Clinic Coordinator of the Program for Weight Management, Division of Metabolic Support Service, at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. She served as the Corporate Wellness Manager at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Little Rock, AR, promoting wellness within corporate sectors as well as within her own healthcare system through employee health screenings, health risk analyses, and projection of financial savings and reduction of healthcare medical claims after establishment of corporate wellness programs.

She received her BS in nutrition from the University of Central Arkansas in 1997, and completed a dietetic internship from the same university in 1998. She has been a certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer for over 10 years, and recently completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification.
