Amyloid Program
Boston Medical Center is an international referral center for the diagnosis and treatment of Amyloidosis, a rare group of diseases that stem from the abnormal accumulation of the protein amyloid in various parts of the body.
The Amyloid Center is one of few nationwide that treats amyloidosis with stem cell transplantation and offers a multi-disciplinary approach to this multi-organ disorder. Amyloid specialists diagnose and treat the damage Amyloidosis can cause to many organs and coordinate innovative care with other specialists at Boston Medical Center.
The Amyloid Treatment and Research Program is currently investigating innovative chemotherapeutic and stem cell transplantation programs.
