Why do I need a Primary Care Physician?
Your primary care physician (PCP) is your partner for your health and your partner through the healthcare system. He/she will educate, advise, and guide you with all of your healthcare needs. Your PCP can be a doctor of Internal Medicine or a Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practioner who focuses on primary care.

What can I expect on my first visit?
On your first visit you will meet your doctor, tell us your medical history and other information, and have a physical exam. Please bring a list of any medications you are taking, including over-the-counter and herbal preparations. A family member or caregiver is always welcome. Remember, however, that your physician may ask very personal questions. Please arrive well ahead of time so that you can complete paperwork and have an opportunity to relax before your appointment.

What insurance do you accept?
We accept every major health insurance and managed-care plan. We also provide free care for patients without insurance who cannot afford to pay. Please familiarize yourself with your insurance plan, especially regarding co-pays, referrals, and emergency care.

Where do I check in for my appointment?
For every appointment, please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment and register before entering your doctor's office. Registration is located right as you exit from the elevator. Here, your contact and insurance information will be updated. After registration, you can proceed to the suite where your doctor is located. Your co-pay (if you have one) will be collected in the reception area of your doctor's suite.

What are the office hours?
We are open Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm.

What if I need care when the office is closed?
A doctor is always on call when the office is closed. To access the on-call physician, please call the office at 617-639-7970 and our answering service will page the on-call physician.

What if I need urgent care?
We help treat acute problems such as coughs, flu, sore throats, stomachache, sprains and other common medical complaints. When you are sick, please call the office before you come in. We will make every possible attempt to see you. If your regular doctor is not available, we will schedule you with another physician or a physician's assistant.

What if I need an interpreter?
Interpreters are available either on site or on call to assist patients who do not speak English.
