Giving your best, from the beginning.

One of the best things you’ve done for your health care career is bring your skills and inspiration to Boston Medical Center. Similarly, through our internship and fellowship programs — or in our Emerging Leaders Health Care Administration Program, designed to enhance minority representation in professional, technical and managerial roles — committed participants can broaden their talents in a fast-paced, productive environment working with experienced directors and managers. No matter which internship or fellowship opportunity they choose to pursue, we encourage them to take full advantage of everything we have to offer.

Internships at BMC
Students eligible to participate in this program are currently attending an accredited college or university full-time, working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Additionally, they must:

• Be at least a second-semester junior.
• Maintain an overall 3.0 grade point average.
• Be available to work three consecutive months during the summer.

The BMC Fellowship Program
This one-year program offers a foundation for health care management leadership roles, and includes true-to-life experiences and learning opportunities within the essential areas of our organization. Individuals gain experience through exposure to our executive management team as they rotate through our key departments and divisions. Although fellowship participants are not required to commit their knowledge and skills to Boston Medical Center upon completion, we do encourage them to become part of our full-time workforce. To qualify, applicants must:

• Have completed a master’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Be available for a one-year period to meet all fellowship responsibilities.
