Haitian Health Education Programs

HIV Risk Reduction Counseling for Haitian and Haitian-American
Men and Women

Risk Reduction Counseling Sessions Cover:

  • HIV/AIDS education

  • HIV risk assessment

  • HIV risk reduction plan

  • Distribution of materials (condoms, etc.)

  • Supported referrals for client-identified needs

Health Education Groups for Haitian and Haitian-American Women

Groups Promote:

  • Gender and ethnic pride

  • HIV/AIDS education

  • Assertiveness skills

  • Behavioral self-management

  • Coping skills
