The Pre-Award Department assists faculty, administrators, and staff in their efforts to seek funding through grants and contracts by providing expertise in proposal preparation, and by distributing funding announcements.
The Department also establishes internal policies and procedures, oversees compliance with funder regulations, provides legal counsel for industrial agreements, maintains the equipment inventory database and the grants database, and serves as an educational resource to the research community.
