This assures that important information about your care is available and transmitted appropriately at the time of admission and discharge. The Geriatrics Inpatient Service specializes in the acute care of older patients. The inpatient care team includes both physicians and nurses specializing in geriatrics as well as pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists, social services and discharge planning specialists as needed. We also have ready access to colleagues representing 70 medical specialties, ensuring your care is comprehensive and convenient. When you are ready to leave the hospital, our inpatient team coordinates with care providers within and outside of the hospital to ensure that you receive the necessary services for your continued well-being.
