Geriatric Oncology Fellowship - Curriculum

PGY-4 – Geriatric Oncology Year # 1:
 
The first year is composed of 9 months of geriatric training and 3 months of clinical hematology/oncology. A tentative schedule is outlined below.

Inpatient Rotation Schedule

Each fellow will participate in two ½ day clinics per week. One clinic will be a geriatric clinic includes home, and nursing home visits.  The second clinic is an oncology clinic.
 
PGY-5 – Geriatric Oncology Year # 2:
 
The second year is composed of 12 months of clinical hematology/oncology. Outlined below.

Inpatient/Outpatient Block Rotations: 12 months of Clinical Oncology training divided as follows:

Longitudinal Outpatient: At least two ½ days per week.

PGY- 6 – Geriatric Oncology Year # 3:
 
Inpatient/Outpatient Block Rotations:

Longitudinal Outpatient: At least two ½ days per week. One clinic will be hematology based.
